Israel’s Rejection and God’s Justice

¹⁴ What shall we say then? ^(A)Is there unrighteousness with God? Certainly not!

⁵ But if our unrighteousness demonstrates the righteousness of God, what shall we say? Is God unjust who inflicts wrath? ^(A)(I speak as a man.) ⁶ Certainly not! For then ^(B)how will God judge the world?

⁷ For if the truth of God has increased through my lie to His glory, why am I also still judged as a sinner?

^22 (A)In all this Job did not sin nor charge God with wrong.

²¹ But Abishai the son of Zeruiah answered and said, “Shall not Shimei be put to death for this, ^(A)because he ^(B)cursed the Lord’s anointed?”
