¹⁴ If He should set His heart on it,
If He should ^(A)gather to Himself His Spirit and His breath,

²⁹ You hide Your face, they are troubled;
^(A)You take away their breath, they die and return to their dust.

^4 (A)God is wise in heart and mighty in strength.
Who has hardened himself against Him and prospered?

²² They will be gathered together,
As prisoners are gathered in the ^[a]pit,
And will be shut up in the prison;
After many days they will be punished.
