⁹ You say, ‘I am clean, without transgression;
    I am pure, and there is no iniquity in me.^(A)

¹⁷ though there is no violence in my hands,
    and my prayer is pure.^(A)

⁷ although you know that I am not guilty,
    and there is no one to deliver out of your hand?^(A)

⁴ For you say, ‘My conduct^[a] is pure,
    and I am clean in God’s^[b] sight.’^(A)

²¹ I am blameless; I do not know myself;
    I loathe my life.^(A)

¹⁴ I put on righteousness, and it clothed me;
    my justice was like a robe and a turban.^(A)

³⁵ you say, “I am innocent;
    surely his anger has turned from me.”
Now I am bringing you to judgment
    for saying, “I have not sinned.”^(A)

⁵ Far be it from me to say that you are right;
    until I die I will not put away my integrity from me.^(A)
6 I hold fast my righteousness and will not let it go;
    my heart will not reproach me as long as I live.^(B)

¹¹ My foot has held fast to his steps;
