²⁰ But when he had considered this, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “^(A)Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife; for ^[a]the Child who has been ^[b]conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit.

²³ “^(A)Behold, the virgin shall be with ^(B)child and shall bear a Son, and they shall call His name ^[a]Immanuel,” which translated means, “^(C)God with us.”

³⁵ The angel answered and said to her, “^(A)The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of ^(B)the Most High will overshadow you; and for that reason ^(C)the ^[a]holy Child shall be called ^(D)the Son of God.
