Elihu Rebukes Job's Three Friends
32 So these three men ceased to answer Job, because he was (A)righteous in his own eyes. 2 Then Elihu the son of Barachel (B)the Buzite, of the family of Ram, burned with anger. He burned with anger at Job because he justified himself (C)rather than God. 3 He burned with anger also at Job's three friends because they had found no answer, although they had (D)declared Job to be in the wrong. 4 Now Elihu had waited to speak to Job because they were older than he. 5 And when Elihu saw that there was no answer in the mouth of these three men, he burned with anger.
6 And Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite answered and said:
“I am young in years,
and you are (E)aged;
therefore I was timid and afraid
to declare my opinion to you.
7 I said, ‘Let days speak,
and many years teach wisdom.’
8 But it is (F)the spirit in man,
(G)the breath of the Almighty, that makes him (H)understand.
9 (I)It is not the old[a] who are wise,
nor the aged who understand what is right.
10 Therefore I say, ‘Listen to me;
let me also declare my opinion.’
11 “Behold, I waited for your words,
I listened for your wise sayings,
while you searched out what to say.
12 I gave you my attention,
and, behold, there was none among you who refuted Job
or who answered his words.
13 Beware (J)lest you say, ‘We have found wisdom;
God may vanquish him, not a man.’
14 He has not directed his words against me,
and I will not answer him with your speeches.
15 “They are dismayed; they answer no more;
they have not a word to say.
16 And shall I wait, because they do not speak,
because they stand there, and answer no more?
17 I also will answer with my share;
I also will declare my opinion.
18 For I am full of words;
the spirit within me constrains me.
19 Behold, my belly is like wine that has no vent;
like new (K)wineskins ready to burst.
20 (L)I must speak, that I may find (M)relief;
I must open my lips and answer.
21 I will not (N)show partiality to any man
or use flattery toward any person.
22 For I do not know how to flatter,
else my Maker would soon take me away.

6 Elihu, ọmọ Barakeli, ará Busi, dáhùn ó sì wí pé:
“Ọmọdé ni èmi,
àgbà sì ní ẹ̀yin;
ǹjẹ́ nítorí náà ní mo dúró,
mo sì ń bẹ̀rù láti fi ìmọ̀ mi hàn yin.
7 Èmi wí pé ọjọ́ orí ni ìbá sọ̀rọ̀,
àti ọ̀pọ̀lọpọ̀ ọdún ní ìbá kọ́ ni ní ọgbọ́n.
8 Ṣùgbọ́n ẹ̀mí kan ní ó wà nínú ènìyàn
àti ìmísí Olódùmarè ní ì sì máa fún wọn ní òye.
9 Ènìyàn ńláńlá kì í ṣe ọlọ́gbọ́n,
Bẹ́ẹ̀ ni àwọn àgbà ní òye ẹ̀tọ́ kò yé.
10 “Nítorí náà ní èmí ṣe wí pé: Ẹ dẹtí sílẹ̀ sí mi;
èmí pẹ̀lú yóò fi ìmọ̀ mi hàn.
11 Kíyèsi i, èmí ti dúró de ọ̀rọ̀ yín;
Èmi fetísí àròyé yín,
nígbà tí ẹ̀yin ń wá ọ̀rọ̀ ti ẹ̀yin yóò sọ;
12 àní, mo fiyèsí yín tinútinú.
Sì kíyèsi i, kò sí ẹnìkan nínú yín tí ó le já Jobu ní irọ́;
tàbí tí ó lè dá a lóhùn àríyànjiyàn rẹ̀!
13 Kí ẹ̀yin kí ó má ṣe wí pé, ‘Àwa wá ọgbọ́n ní àwárí;
Ọlọ́run ni ó lè bì í ṣubú kì í ṣe ènìyàn.’
14 Bí òun kò ti sọ̀rọ̀ sí mi,
bẹ́ẹ̀ ni èmi kì yóò fi ọ̀rọ̀ yín dá a lóhùn.
15 “Ẹnu sì yà wọ́n, wọn kò sì dáhùn mọ́,
wọ́n ṣíwọ́ ọ̀rọ̀ í sọ.
16 Mo sì retí, nítorí wọn kò sì fọhùn, wọ́n dákẹ́ jẹ́ẹ́;
wọn kò sì dáhùn mọ́.
17 Bẹ́ẹ̀ ni èmí ó sì dáhùn nípa ti èmi,
èmí pẹ̀lú yóò sì fi ìmọ̀ mi hàn.
18 Nítorí pé èmi kún fún ọ̀rọ̀ sísọ,
ẹ̀mí ń rọ̀ mi ni inú mi.
19 Kíyèsi i, ikùn mi dàbí ọtí wáìnì, tí kò ní ojú-ìhò;
ó múra tán láti bẹ́ bí ìgò-awọ tuntun.
20 Èmí ó sọ, kí ara kí ó le rọ̀ mí,
èmí ó sí ètè mi, èmí ó sì dáhùn.
21 Lóòtítọ́ èmi kì yóò ṣe ojúsàájú sí ẹnìkankan,
bẹ́ẹ̀ ni èmí kì yóò sì ṣe ìpọ́nni fún ẹnìkan.
22 Nítorí pé èmí kò mọ̀ ọ̀rọ̀ ìpọ́nni í sọ ní ṣíṣe bẹ́ẹ̀,
Ẹlẹ́dàá mi yóò mú mi kúrò lọ́gán.
Giobbe 32
La Nuova Diodati
32 Allora questi tre uomini cessarono di rispondere a Giobbe, perché egli si riteneva giusto.
2 Ma l'ira di Elihu, figlio di Barakel, il Buzita, del clan di Ram, si accese contro Giobbe; la sua ira si accese, perché questi riteneva giusto se stesso anziché DIO.
3 La sua ira si accese anche contro i suoi tre amici, perché non avevano trovato la giusta risposta, sebbene condannassero Giobbe.
4 Elihu aveva aspettato a parlare a Giobbe, perché essi erano piú anziani di lui.
5 Quando però Elihu si rese conto che non c'era piú risposta sulla bocca di quei tre uomini, si accese d'ira.
6 Cosí Elihu, figlio di Barakel, il Buzita, prese la parola e disse: «lo sono ancora giovane di età e voi siete vecchi; perciò ho esitato e ho avuto paura a esporvi la mia opinione.
7 Dicevo: "Parlerà l'età, e il gran numero degli anni insegnerà la sapienza
8 Ma nell'uomo c'è uno spirito, ed è il soffio dell'Onnipotente che gli dà intelligenza.
9 Non sono necessariamente i grandi ad avere sapienza o i vecchi a intendere la giustizia.
10 Perciò dico: Ascoltatemi, esporrò anch'io la mia opinione.
11 Ecco, ho atteso i vostri discorsi, ho ascoltato i vostri argomenti, mentre cercavate qualcosa da dire.
12 Vi ho seguito attentamente, ed ecco, nessuno di voi ha convinto Giobbe o risposto alle sue parole.
13 Non dite dunque: "abbiamo trovato la sapienza; solo Dio lo può completamente sconfiggere, non l'uomo!"
14 Egli non ha diretto i suoi discorsi contro di me, perciò non gli risponderò con le vostre parole.
15 Sono sconcertati, non rispondono piú, mancano loro le parole.
16 Devo aspettare ancora, perché non parlano piú, perché stanno lí senza dare alcuna risposta.
17 Presenterò anch'io la mia parte, esporrò anch'io la mia opinione.
18 Poiché sono pieno di parole e lo spirito dentro di me mi costringe.
19 Ecco, il mio seno è come vino che non ha sfogo; come otri nuovi, sta per scoppiare.
20 Parlerò dunque per averne un po' di sollievo, aprirò le labbra e risponderò.
21 Permettetemi ora di parlare senza mostrare parzialità con alcuno e senza adulare alcuno;
22 perché io non so adulare, altrimenti il mio Fattore mi toglierebbe presto di mezzo».
