5 But he saw that the three men didn’t have anything more to say. So he was very angry.

6 Elihu the Buzite, the son of Barakel, said,

“I’m young, and you are old.
    So I was afraid to tell you what I know.
7 I thought, ‘Those who are older should speak first.
    Those who have lived for many years
    should teach people how to be wise.’

6 So Elihu son of Barakel the Buzite said:

“I am young in years,
    and you are old;(A)
that is why I was fearful,
    not daring to tell you what I know.
7 I thought, ‘Age should speak;
    advanced years should teach wisdom.’(B)
