Job 31:21-40
New King James Version
21 If I have raised my hand (A)against the fatherless,
When I saw I had help in the gate;
22 Then let my arm fall from my shoulder,
Let my arm be torn from the socket.
23 For (B)destruction from God is a terror to me,
And because of His magnificence I cannot endure.
24 “If(C) I have made gold my hope,
Or said to fine gold, ‘You are my confidence’;
25 (D)If I have rejoiced because my wealth was great,
And because my hand had gained much;
26 (E)If I have observed the [a]sun when it shines,
Or the moon moving in brightness,
27 So that my heart has been secretly enticed,
And my mouth has kissed my hand;
28 This also would be an iniquity deserving of judgment,
For I would have denied God who is above.
29 “If(F) I have rejoiced at the destruction of him who hated me,
Or lifted myself up when evil found him
30 (G)(Indeed I have not allowed my mouth to sin
By asking for a curse on his [b]soul);
31 If the men of my tent have not said,
‘Who is there that has not been satisfied with his meat?’
32 (H)(But no sojourner had to lodge in the street,
For I have opened my doors to the [c]traveler);
33 If I have covered my transgressions (I)as[d] Adam,
By hiding my iniquity in my bosom,
34 Because I feared the great (J)multitude,
And dreaded the contempt of families,
So that I kept silence
And did not go out of the door—
35 (K)Oh, that I had one to hear me!
Here is my mark.
Oh, (L)that the Almighty would answer me,
That my [e]Prosecutor had written a book!
36 Surely I would carry it on my shoulder,
And bind it on me like a crown;
37 I would declare to Him the number of my steps;
Like a prince I would approach Him.
38 “If my land cries out against me,
And its furrows weep together;
39 If (M)I have eaten its [f]fruit without money,
Or (N)caused its owners to lose their lives;
40 Then let (O)thistles grow instead of wheat,
And weeds instead of barley.”
The words of Job are ended.

Hebrews 11:14-26
New King James Version
14 For those who say such things (A)declare plainly that they seek a homeland. 15 And truly if they had called to mind (B)that country from which they had come out, they would have had opportunity to return. 16 But now they desire a better, that is, a heavenly country. Therefore God is not ashamed (C)to be called their God, for He has (D)prepared a city for them.
The Faith of the Patriarchs(E)
17 By faith Abraham, (F)when he was tested, offered up Isaac, and he who had received the promises offered up his only begotten son, 18 [a]of whom it was said, (G)“In Isaac your seed shall be called,” 19 concluding that God (H)was able to raise him up, even from the dead, from which he also received him in a figurative sense.
20 By faith (I)Isaac blessed Jacob and Esau concerning things to come.
21 By faith Jacob, when he was dying, (J)blessed each of the sons of Joseph, and worshiped, leaning on the top of his staff.
22 By faith (K)Joseph, when he was dying, made mention of the departure of the children of Israel, and gave instructions concerning his bones.
The Faith of Moses(L)
23 By faith (M)Moses, when he was born, was hidden three months by his parents, because they saw he was a beautiful child; and they were not afraid of the king’s (N)command.
24 By faith (O)Moses, when he became of age, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter, 25 choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God than to enjoy the [b]passing pleasures of sin, 26 esteeming (P)the [c]reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures [d]in Egypt; for he looked to the (Q)reward.

Heaven Exults over Babylon
19 After these things (A)I [a]heard a loud voice of a great multitude in heaven, saying, “Alleluia! (B)Salvation and glory and honor and power belong to [b]the Lord our God! 2 For (C)true and righteous are His judgments, because He has judged the great harlot who corrupted the earth with her fornication; and He (D)has avenged on her the blood of His servants shed by her.” 3 Again they said, “Alleluia! (E)Her smoke rises up forever and ever!” 4 And (F)the twenty-four elders and the four living creatures fell down and worshiped God who sat on the throne, saying, (G)“Amen! Alleluia!” 5 Then a voice came from the throne, saying, (H)“Praise our God, all you His servants and those who fear Him, (I)both[c] small and great!”
6 (J)And I heard, as it were, the voice of a great multitude, as the sound of many waters and as the sound of mighty thunderings, saying, “Alleluia! For (K)the[d] Lord God Omnipotent reigns! 7 Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for (L)the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready.” 8 And (M)to her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright, (N)for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints.
9 Then he said to me, “Write: (O)‘Blessed are those who are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb!’ ” And he said to me, (P)“These are the true sayings of God.” 10 And (Q)I fell at his feet to worship him. But he said to me, (R)“See that you do not do that! I am your (S)fellow servant, and of your brethren (T)who have the testimony of Jesus. Worship God! For the (U)testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.”
Christ on a White Horse
11 (V)Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, (W)a white horse. And He who sat on him was called (X)Faithful and True, and (Y)in righteousness He judges and makes war. 12 (Z)His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns. (AA)He [e]had a name written that no one knew except Himself. 13 (AB)He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called (AC)The Word of God. 14 (AD)And the armies in heaven, (AE)clothed in [f]fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses. 15 Now (AF)out of His mouth goes a [g]sharp sword, that with it He should strike the nations. And (AG)He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron. (AH)He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. 16 And (AI)He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written:
(AJ)KING OF KINGS AND
LORD OF LORDS.
The Beast and His Armies Defeated
17 Then I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the birds that fly in the midst of heaven, (AK)“Come and gather together for the [h]supper of the great God, 18 (AL)that you may eat the flesh of kings, the flesh of captains, the flesh of mighty men, the flesh of horses and of those who sit on them, and the flesh of all people, [i]free and slave, both small and great.”
19 (AM)And I saw the beast, the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against Him who sat on the horse and against His army. 20 (AN)Then the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who worked signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who received the mark of the beast and (AO)those who worshiped his image. (AP)These two were cast alive into the lake of fire (AQ)burning with brimstone. 21 And the rest (AR)were killed with the sword which proceeded from the mouth of Him who sat on the horse. (AS)And all the birds (AT)were filled with their flesh.
