Job 27:7-12
English Standard Version
7 “Let my enemy be as the wicked,
and let him who rises up against me be as the unrighteous.
8 (A)For what is the hope of the godless (B)when God cuts him off,
when God takes away his life?
9 (C)Will God hear his cry
when distress comes upon him?
10 Will he (D)take delight in the Almighty?
Will he call upon God at all times?
11 I will teach you concerning the hand of God;
(E)what is with the Almighty I will not conceal.
12 Behold, all of you have seen it yourselves;
why then have you become altogether vain?
Job 27:7-12
International Standard Version
7 “May my enemy be like the wicked;
my adversary like the unjust.[a]
8 For where is the hope of the godless when he is eliminated;
when God takes away his life?
9 Will God hear his cry
when distress overtakes him?
10 Will he take delight in the Almighty?
Will he call on God at all times?”
On the Demise of the Wicked
11 “I’ll teach you about the power[b] of God,
that which is with the Almighty I won’t conceal.
12 Look! All of you have been watching,
so why have you become so completely worthless?
