13 “This is the portion of the wicked with God
    and the heritage that oppressors receive from the Almighty:[a](A)
14 If their children are multiplied, it is for the sword,
    and their offspring have not enough to eat.(B)
15 Those who survive them the pestilence buries,
    and their widows make no lamentation.(C)
16 Though they heap up silver like dust
    and pile up clothing like clay,(D)
17 they may pile it up, but the just will wear it,
    and the innocent will divide the silver.(E)
18 They build their houses like nests,
    like booths made by sentinels of the vineyard.
19 They go to bed with wealth but will do so no more;
    they open their eyes, and it is gone.(F)
20 Terrors overtake them like a flood;
    in the night a whirlwind carries them off.(G)
21 The east wind lifts them up, and they are gone;
    it sweeps them out of their place.(H)
22 It[b] hurls at them without pity;
    they flee from its[c] power in headlong flight.(I)
23 It[d] claps its[e] hands at them
    and hisses at them from its[f] place.(J)

and they receive from Shaddai the inheritance of the ruthless.
14 If their children multiply, it is for the sword,
and his offspring do not have enough to eat.[a]
15 Their[b] survivors are buried through[c] the plague,
and their[d] widows do not weep.
16 If he heaps up silver like the dust
and fashions clothing like the clay,
17 he makes it ready, and the righteous will wear it,
and the innocent will divide the silver.
18 “He builds his house like the moth,
and like a booth that a watchman has made.
19 He goes to bed with wealth, but[e] he will do so no more;[f]
he opens his eyes, and it is gone.[g]
20 Terrors overtake him like the water;
a storm wind carries him off in the night.
21 The east wind lifts him up, and he is gone,
and it sweeps him away from his place.
22 And it hurls at him, and it has no compassion;
he will quickly flee from its power.
23 It claps its hands over him,
and it hisses at him from its place.
