^8 (A)He binds up the water in His thick clouds,
Yet the clouds ^[a]are not broken under it.

^13 (A)When He utters His voice,
There is a ^[a]multitude of waters in the heavens:
^(B)“And He causes the vapors to ascend from the ends of the earth.
He makes lightning for the rain,
He brings the wind out of His treasuries.”

⁶ I will lay it ^(A)waste;
It shall not be pruned or ^[a]dug,
But there shall come up briers and ^(B)thorns.
I will also command the clouds
That they rain no rain on it.”

^7 (A)He causes the ^[a]vapors to ascend from the ends of the earth;
^(B)He makes lightning for the rain;
He brings the wind out of His ^(C)treasuries.

^10 (A)And He rode upon a cherub, and flew;
^(B)He flew upon the wings of the wind.
¹¹ He made darkness His secret place;
^(C)His canopy around Him was dark waters
And thick clouds of the skies.

³⁷ Who can number the clouds by wisdom?
Or who can pour out the bottles of heaven,

⁹ When I made the clouds its garment,
And thick darkness its swaddling band;

¹¹ Also with moisture He saturates the thick clouds;
He scatters His ^[a]bright clouds.
¹² And they swirl about, being turned by His guidance,
That they may ^(A)do whatever He commands them
On the face of ^[b]the whole earth.
^13 (B)He causes it to come,
Whether for ^[c]correction,
Or ^(C)for His land,
Or ^(D)for mercy.
