    and its inhabitants are like grasshoppers,
who stretches out the heavens like a curtain
    and spreads them like a tent to live in,^(A)

²     wrapped in light as with a garment.
You stretch out the heavens like a tent;^(A)
3     you set the beams of your^[a] chambers on the waters;
you make the clouds your^[b] chariot;
    you ride on the wings of the wind;^(B)
4 you make the winds your^[c] messengers,

    Who created these?
He who brings out their host and numbers them,
    calling them all by name;
because he is great in strength,
    mighty in power,

    or the world’s first bits of soil.
