¹² By his power he churned up the sea;^(A)
    by his wisdom^(B) he cut Rahab^(C) to pieces.

¹⁵ For I am the Lord your God,
    who stirs up the sea^(A) so that its waves roar^(B)—
    the Lord Almighty^(C) is his name.

he who appoints^(A) the sun
    to shine by day,
who decrees the moon and stars
    to shine by night,^(B)
who stirs up the sea^(C)
    so that its waves roar^(D)—
    the Lord Almighty is his name:^(E)

⁹ Awake, awake,^(A) arm^(B) of the Lord,
    clothe yourself with strength!^(C)
Awake, as in days gone by,
    as in generations of old.^(D)
Was it not you who cut Rahab^(E) to pieces,
    who pierced that monster^(F) through?

⁹ You rule over the surging sea;
    when its waves mount up, you still them.^(A)
10 You crushed Rahab^(B) like one of the slain;
    with your strong arm you scattered^(C) your enemies.

¹³ “To God belong wisdom^(A) and power;^(B)
    counsel and understanding are his.^(C)

¹³ God does not restrain his anger;^(A)
    even the cohorts of Rahab^(B) cowered at his feet.
