The Voice
25 Then Bildad the Shuhite responded.
2 Bildad: God rules over all things;
dread is His domain,
God—who makes peace and order on His own heights.
3 As for His armies, can they even be counted?
As for His light, is anyone not illuminated?
4 Then tell me how can a person be right with God?
How can someone born of a woman in blood be pure?
5 If even the moon is not bright enough
and the light of the stars is not pure in His estimation,
6 How much less so a human,
who is a mere worm—
The offspring of humanity,
who is a maggot!

25 Bildad din Şuah a luat cuvântul şi a zis:
2 „Puterea şi groaza sunt ale lui Dumnezeu;
El face să împărăţească pacea în ţinuturile Lui înalte.
3 Cine ar putea să-I numere oştile?
Şi peste cine nu răsare lumina(A) Lui?
4 Cum ar putea omul(B) să fie fără vină înaintea lui Dumnezeu?
Cum ar putea cel născut din femeie să fie curat?
5 Iată, în ochii Lui nici luna nu este strălucitoare,
şi stelele nu sunt curate înaintea Lui;
6 cu cât mai puţin omul, care nu este decât un vierme(C),
fiul omului, care nu este decât un viermişor!”

25 Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said,
2 Dominion and fear are with him, he maketh peace in his high places.
3 Is there any number of his armies? and upon whom doth not his light arise?
4 How then can man be justified with God? or how can he be clean that is born of a woman?
5 Behold even to the moon, and it shineth not; yea, the stars are not pure in his sight.
6 How much less man, that is a worm? and the son of man, which is a worm?
