19 How they are destroyed in a moment,
    swept away utterly by terrors!^(B)
20 They are^[a] like a dream when one awakes;
    on awaking you despise their phantoms.^(C)

⁷ Let them vanish like water that runs away;
    like grass let them be trodden down^[a] and wither.^(A)

¹⁶ They were snatched away before their time;
    their foundation was washed away by a flood.^(A)

²⁶ They go by like skiffs of reed,
