²⁰ For ^(A)everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed.

¹¹ And have ^(A)no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather ^[a]expose them. ^12 (B)For it is shameful even to speak of those things which are done by them in secret. ¹³ But ^(C)all things that are ^[b]exposed are made manifest by the light, for whatever makes manifest is light.

^43 (A)But know this, that if the master of the house had known what ^[a]hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into.

Lay Up Treasures in Heaven^(A)

^19 (B)“Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal;

¹² And ^(A)the prince who is among them shall bear his belongings on his shoulder at twilight and go out. They shall dig through the wall to carry them out through it. He shall cover his face, so that he cannot see the ground with his eyes.

⁵ Dig through the wall in their sight, and carry your belongings out through it. ⁶ In their sight you shall bear them on your shoulders and carry them out at twilight; you shall cover your face, so that you cannot see the ground, ^(A)for I have made you a sign to the house of Israel.”

⁷ So I did as I was commanded. I brought out my belongings by day, as though going into captivity, and at evening I dug through the wall with my hand. I brought them out at twilight, and I bore them on my shoulder in their sight.

² If the thief is found ^(A)breaking in, and he is struck so that he dies, there shall be ^(B)no guilt for his bloodshed. ³ If the sun has risen on him, there shall be guilt for his bloodshed. He should make full restitution; if he has nothing, then he shall be ^(C)sold^[a] for his theft.
