^20 (A)For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, ^(B)lest his works should be exposed.

^11 (A)Take no part in the ^(B)unfruitful ^(C)works of darkness, but instead ^(D)expose them. ¹² For ^(E)it is shameful even to speak of the things that they do in secret. ¹³ But when ^(F)anything is exposed by the light, it becomes visible,

^43 (A)But know this, that if the master of the house had known in what part of the night ^(B)the thief was coming, he would have stayed awake and would not have let his house be broken into.

Lay Up Treasures in Heaven

^19 (A)“Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where ^(B)moth and rust^[a] destroy and where thieves ^(C)break in and steal,

^12 (A)And the prince who is among them shall lift his baggage upon his shoulder at dusk, and shall go out. ^(B)They shall dig through the wall to bring him out through it. ^(C)He shall cover his face, that he may not see the land with his eyes.

⁵ In their sight ^(A)dig through the wall, and bring your baggage out through it. ⁶ In their sight you shall lift the baggage upon your shoulder and carry it out at dusk. You shall cover your face that you may not see the land, for I have made you ^(B)a sign for the house of Israel.”

^7 (C)And I did as I was commanded. ^(D)I brought out my baggage by day, as baggage for exile, and in the evening I dug through the wall with my own hands. I brought out my baggage at dusk, carrying it on my shoulder in their sight.
