Job 22:4-11

⁴ Is it because of your ^[a]reverence that He punishes you,
That He ^(A)enters into judgment against you?
⁵ Is ^(B)your wickedness not abundant,
And is there no end to your guilty deeds?
⁶ For you have ^(C)seized pledges from your brothers without cause,
And ^[b](D)stripped people naked.
⁷ You have ^(E)given the weary no water to drink,
And you have ^(F)withheld bread from the hungry.
⁸ But the earth ^(G)belongs to the ^(H)powerful man,
And ^(I)the one who is honorable dwells on it.
⁹ You have sent ^(J)widows away empty,
And the ^[c]strength of ^(K)orphans has been crushed.
¹⁰ Therefore ^(L)traps surround you,
And sudden ^(M)dread terrifies you,
¹¹ Or ^(N)darkness, so that you cannot see,
And a ^(O)flood of water covers you.
