⁴ Is it for your piety that he reproves you
    and enters into judgment with you?^(A)

³ Do you fix your eyes on such a one?
    Do you bring me into judgment with you?^(A)

² Do not enter into judgment with your servant,
    for no one living is righteous before you.^(A)

¹⁴ The Lord enters into judgment
    with the elders and princes of his people:
It is you who have devoured the vineyard;
    the spoil of the poor is in your houses.^(A)
15 What do you mean by crushing my people,
    by grinding the face of the poor? says the Lord God of hosts.^(B)

¹⁶ It has been burned with fire; it has been cut down;
    may they perish at the rebuke of your countenance.^(A)

⁶ At your rebuke, O God of Jacob,
    both rider and horse lay stunned.

²³ For he has not appointed a time^[a] for anyone
    to go before God in judgment.
