⁶ if by ^(A)turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah to ashes he condemned them to extinction, ^(B)making them an example of ^(C)what is going to happen to the ungodly;^{[a] 7} and ^(D)if he rescued righteous Lot, greatly distressed by the sensual conduct of the wicked

¹⁶ While he was yet speaking, there came another and said, ^(A)“The fire of God fell from heaven and burned up the sheep and the servants and consumed them, and I alone have escaped to tell you.”

^29 (A)but on the day when Lot went out from Sodom, fire and sulfur rained from heaven and destroyed them all— ³⁰ so will it be ^(B)on the day when the Son of Man is revealed.

Repent or Perish

13 There were some present at that very time who told him about the Galileans whose blood ^(A)Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices. ² And he answered them, ^(B)“Do you think that these Galileans were worse sinners than all the other Galileans, because they suffered in this way? ³ No, I tell you; but unless you ^(C)repent, you will all likewise perish. ⁴ Or those eighteen on whom the tower in ^(D)Siloam fell and killed them: do you think that they were worse offenders than all the others who lived in Jerusalem? ⁵ No, I tell you; but unless you ^(E)repent, you will all likewise perish.”
