⁹ Their homes are safe and free from fear;^(A)
    the rod of God is not on them.^(B)

⁵ They are free^(A) from common human burdens;
    they are not plagued by human ills.

³⁴ someone to remove God’s rod from me,^(A)
    so that his terror would frighten me no more.^(B)

¹⁹     creating praise on their lips.^(A)
Peace, peace,^(B) to those far and near,”^(C)
    says the Lord. “And I will heal them.”
²⁰ But the wicked^(D) are like the tossing sea,^(E)
    which cannot rest,
    whose waves cast up mire^(F) and mud.
²¹ “There is no peace,”^(G) says my God, “for the wicked.”^(H)

¹⁹ How suddenly^(A) are they destroyed,
    completely swept away^(B) by terrors!

¹¹ Terrors^(A) startle him on every side^(B)
    and dog^(C) his every step.

²¹ Terrifying sounds fill his ears;^(A)
    when all seems well, marauders attack him.^(B)
