Satanás se ensaña otra vez con Job
2 Llegó el día en que los seres celestiales vinieron a presentarse nuevamente ante el SEÑOR. Satanás vino entre ellos a presentarse ante el SEÑOR. 2 El SEÑOR le dijo a Satanás:
—¿Dónde has estado?
Satanás le respondió:
—He estado vagando por la tierra.
3 Entonces el SEÑOR le dijo a Satanás:
—¿Te has fijado en mi siervo Job? No hay nadie como él en la tierra. Job es un hombre intachable, honesto, respeta a Dios y rechaza el mal. Se mantiene intachable, a pesar de que tú trataste de convencerme de que lo destruyera sin ningún motivo.
4 Satanás respondió al SEÑOR:
—¡Entre la bolsa o la vida, mejor dar la bolsa![a] Verdaderamente un hombre daría todo lo que tiene con tal de salvar su vida. 5 Pero si tú usaras tu poder para lastimar su cuerpo, seguro que te maldeciría[b] en tu propia cara.
6 Entonces el SEÑOR le dijo a Satanás:
—Haz lo que quieras con Job, menos matarlo.
7 Satanás se retiró de la presencia del SEÑOR y afligió a Job con llagas dolorosas que lo cubrían de pies a cabeza. 8 Job para rascarse agarró un pedazo de teja y se sentó en medio de un montón de ceniza. 9 Su esposa lo vio y le dijo:
—¿Todavía sigues queriendo ser intachable? ¡Maldice a Dios y muérete de una vez!
10 Pero Job le respondió a su esposa:
—Estás hablando como una tonta. ¿Vamos a recibir de Dios lo bueno, pero no lo malo?
En todo esto Job no cometió ningún pecado en lo que dijo.
Tres amigos vienen a verlo
11 Tres amigos de Job supieron de todas las desgracias que le habían sucedido y salieron de sus hogares para ir a visitarlo. Eran Elifaz de la región de Temán, Bildad de la región de Súah y Zofar de la región de Namat. Ellos decidieron ir a expresarle sus condolencias y darle consuelo. 12 Pero cuando los tres amigos vieron a Job desde lejos difícilmente lo reconocieron. Empezaron a llorar, rasgaron su ropa y se arrojaron cenizas al aire sobre la cabeza. 13 Entonces se sentaron en el suelo con Job durante siete días y siete noches sin decir una palabra porque veían que Job estaba sufriendo demasiado.

Satan Attacks Job’s Health
2 Again (A)there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan came also among them to present himself before the Lord. 2 And the Lord said to Satan, “From where do you come?”
(B)Satan answered the Lord and said, “From going to and fro on the earth, and from walking back and forth on it.”
3 Then the Lord said to Satan, “Have you considered My servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, (C)a blameless and upright man, one who fears God and shuns evil? And still he (D)holds fast to his integrity, although you incited Me against him, (E)to [a]destroy him without cause.”
4 So Satan answered the Lord and said, “Skin for skin! Yes, all that a man has he will give for his life. 5 (F)But stretch out Your hand now, and touch his (G)bone and his flesh, and he will surely [b]curse You to Your face!”
6 (H)And the Lord said to Satan, “Behold, he is in your hand, but spare his life.”
7 So Satan went out from the presence of the Lord, and struck Job with painful boils (I)from the sole of his foot to the crown of his head. 8 And he took for himself a potsherd with which to scrape himself (J)while he sat in the midst of the ashes.
9 Then his wife said to him, “Do you still hold fast to your integrity? [c]Curse God and die!”
10 But he said to her, “You speak as one of the foolish women speaks. (K)Shall we indeed accept good from God, and shall we not accept adversity?” (L)In all this Job did not (M)sin with his lips.
Job’s Three Friends
11 Now when Job’s three friends heard of all this adversity that had come upon him, each one came from his own place—Eliphaz the (N)Temanite, Bildad the (O)Shuhite, and Zophar the Naamathite. For they had made an appointment together to come (P)and mourn with him, and to comfort him. 12 And when they raised their eyes from afar, and did not recognize him, they lifted their voices and wept; and each one tore his robe and (Q)sprinkled dust on his head toward heaven. 13 So they sat down with him on the ground (R)seven days and seven nights, and no one spoke a word to him, for they saw that his grief was very great.

Satan answered the Lord, “From roaming throughout the earth, going back and forth on it.”(C)
3 Then the Lord said to Satan, “Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one on earth like him; he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil.(D) And he still maintains his integrity,(E) though you incited me against him to ruin him without any reason.”(F)
4 “Skin for skin!” Satan replied. “A man will give all he has(G) for his own life. 5 But now stretch out your hand and strike his flesh and bones,(H) and he will surely curse you to your face.”(I)
6 The Lord said to Satan, “Very well, then, he is in your hands;(J) but you must spare his life.”(K)
7 So Satan went out from the presence of the Lord and afflicted Job with painful sores from the soles of his feet to the crown of his head.(L) 8 Then Job took a piece of broken pottery and scraped himself with it as he sat among the ashes.(M)
9 His wife said to him, “Are you still maintaining your integrity?(N) Curse God and die!”(O)
10 He replied, “You are talking like a foolish[b] woman. Shall we accept good from God, and not trouble?”(P)
In all this, Job did not sin in what he said.(Q)
11 When Job’s three friends, Eliphaz the Temanite,(R) Bildad the Shuhite(S) and Zophar the Naamathite,(T) heard about all the troubles that had come upon him, they set out from their homes and met together by agreement to go and sympathize with him and comfort him.(U) 12 When they saw him from a distance, they could hardly recognize him;(V) they began to weep aloud,(W) and they tore their robes(X) and sprinkled dust on their heads.(Y) 13 Then they sat on the ground(Z) with him for seven days and seven nights.(AA) No one said a word to him,(AB) because they saw how great his suffering was.

2 又有一天，众天使来朝见耶和华，撒旦也在他们当中。 2 耶和华问撒旦：“你从哪里来？”撒旦答道：“我在地上到处游走。” 3 耶和华问道：“你注意到我的仆人约伯了吗？世上没有人像他那样纯全正直，敬畏我，远离罪恶。虽然你鼓动我无缘无故地攻击他、毁灭他，他仍然持守自己的纯正。” 4 撒旦回答说：“人会以皮换皮，为了保全生命，情愿舍弃一切。 5 倘若你伸手伤害他的骨和肉，他必当面亵渎你。” 6 耶和华说：“好吧，他在你手中，但要留他一命。” 7 于是，撒旦从耶和华面前退去，开始加害约伯，使他从头到脚长毒疮。 8 约伯坐在炉灰中，拿瓦片刮身体。 9 他的妻子对他说：“你还要持守自己的纯正吗？不如亵渎上帝，死掉算了！” 10 但约伯回答说：“你说话像个愚昧的妇人。难道我们只从上帝手里接受祝福，却不接受灾殃吗？”约伯遭此不幸，仍毫无怨言。
约伯的三个朋友
11 约伯的三个朋友提幔人以利法、书亚人比勒达和拿玛人琐法听到他的不幸遭遇，便各自从家乡动身，相约一起来探望、安慰他。 12 他们远远地看见约伯，几乎认不出是他，禁不住放声大哭，各自撕裂外袍，扬起尘土，让土落在头上。 13 他们看到约伯极其痛苦，就陪着他在地上坐了七天七夜，没有对他说一句话。
