But stretch out[a] your hand and touch his bones and his flesh, and see whether[b] he will curse[c] you to your face.”[d]

So[e] Yahweh said to Satan,[f]All right,[g] he is in your power.[h] Only spare his life.”

So[i] Satan[j] went out from Yahweh’s presence,[k] and he inflicted Job with loathsome skin sores from the sole of his foot up to the crown of his head.
