3 “Napansin mo ba ang lingkod kong si Job?” tanong ni Yahweh. “Wala siyang katulad sa daigdig. Mabuti siyang tao, sumasamba sa akin, at umiiwas sa masamang gawain. Hinimok mo akong pinsalain siya kahit walang sapat na dahilan, subalit nananatili pa rin siyang tapat sa akin,” sabi pa ni Yahweh.
4 Sumagot si Satanas,[a] “Kahit anong bagay ay ibibigay ng tao, huwag lamang siyang mamatay. 5 Subukin ninyong saktan ang kanyang katawan at sigurado kong susumpain niya kayo nang harap-harapan!”

3 Then the Lord said to Satan, “Have you considered My servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, (A)a blameless and upright man, one who fears God and shuns evil? And still he (B)holds fast to his integrity, although you incited Me against him, (C)to [a]destroy him without cause.”
4 So Satan answered the Lord and said, “Skin for skin! Yes, all that a man has he will give for his life. 5 (D)But stretch out Your hand now, and touch his (E)bone and his flesh, and he will surely [b]curse You to Your face!”
