Job 1:4-5

4 His sons used to go and hold a feast in the house of each one on his day, and they would send and invite their three sisters to eat and drink with them. 5 And when the days of the feast had run their course, Job would send and (A)consecrate them, and he would rise early in the morning and (B)offer burnt offerings according to the number of them all. For Job said, “It may be that my children have sinned, and (C)cursed[a] God in their hearts.” Thus Job did continually.

4 His sons used to take turns having banquets at their homes. They would send an invitation to their three sisters to eat and drink with them. 5 Whenever a round of banqueting was over, Job would send for his children and purify them, rising early in the morning to offer burnt offerings for[a] all of them. For Job thought: Perhaps my children have sinned, having cursed God in their hearts. This was Job’s regular practice.
