Job 19:17-20

New International Version

¹⁷ My breath is offensive to my wife;
    I am loathsome^(A) to my own family.
¹⁸ Even the little boys^(B) scorn me;
    when I appear, they ridicule me.^(C)
19 All my intimate friends^(D) detest me;^(E)
    those I love have turned against me.^(F)
20 I am nothing but skin and bones;^(G)
    I have escaped only by the skin of my teeth.^[a]
