¹⁷ Their memory perishes from the earth,
    and they have no name in the street.^(A)

⁷ The memory of the righteous is a blessing,
    but the name of the wicked will rot.^(A)

¹⁶ The face of the Lord is against evildoers,
    to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.^(A)

¹³ May his posterity be cut off;
    may his name be blotted out in the second generation.^(A)

²² but the wicked will be cut off from the earth,
    and the treacherous will be rooted out of it.^(A)

⁴ They say, “Come, let us wipe them out as a nation;
    let the name of Israel be remembered no more.”^(A)
