^6 (A)The tents of robbers are at peace,
    and those who provoke God are secure,
    who bring their god in their hand.^[a]

^24 (A)The earth is given into the hand of the wicked;
    he ^(B)covers the faces of its judges—
    ^(C)if it is not he, who then is it?

¹¹ And they say, ^(A)“How can God know?
    Is there knowledge in the Most High?”
¹² Behold, these are the wicked;
    always at ease, they ^(B)increase in riches.

^7 (A)Why do the wicked live,
    reach old age, and grow mighty in power?
⁸ Their ^(B)offspring are established in their presence,
    and their descendants before their eyes.
⁹ Their houses are ^(C)safe from fear,
    and ^(D)no rod of God is upon them.
¹⁰ Their bull breeds without fail;
    their cow calves and ^(E)does not miscarry.
¹¹ They send out their ^(F)little boys like a flock,
    and their children dance.
¹² They sing to ^(G)the tambourine and ^(H)the lyre
    and rejoice to the sound of ^(I)the pipe.
¹³ They ^(J)spend their days in prosperity,
    and in ^(K)peace they go down to ^(L)Sheol.
¹⁴ They say to God, ^(M)‘Depart from us!
    We do not desire the knowledge of your ways.
^15 (N)What is the Almighty, that we should serve him?
    And what ^(O)profit do we get if we pray to him?’

²⁷ Like a cage full of birds,
    their houses are full of deceit;
therefore they have become great and rich;

37 ^(A)Fret not yourself because of evildoers;
    be not ^(B)envious of wrongdoers!

¹⁴ from men by your hand, O Lord,
    from ^(A)men of the world whose ^(B)portion is in this life.^[a]
You fill their womb with treasure;^[b]
    they are satisfied with ^(C)children,
    and they leave their abundance to their infants.

¹⁸ Yet he filled their houses with good things—
    but ^(A)the counsel of the wicked is far from me.
