Acusación de Zofar contra Job
11 Entonces respondió Zofar naamatita, y dijo:
2 ¿Quedará sin respuesta esa multitud de palabras,
y será absuelto el que mucho habla(A)?
3 ¿Harán tus jactancias callar a los hombres?
¿Harás escarnio(B) sin que nadie te reprenda?
4 Pues has dicho: «Mi enseñanza es pura(C),
y soy inocente ante tus ojos(D)».
5 Mas, ¡quién diera que Dios hablara,
abriera sus labios contra ti
6 y te declarara los secretos de la sabiduría!;
porque la verdadera sabiduría tiene dos lados[a](E).
Sabrías entonces que Dios olvida[b] parte de tu iniquidad(F).
7 ¿Descubrirás tú las profundidades de Dios?
¿Descubrirás los límites del Todopoderoso[c](G)?
8 Altos son como los cielos[d](H); ¿qué harás tú?
Más profundos son que el Seol[e](I); ¿qué puedes tú saber?
9 Más extensa que la tierra es su dimensión,
y más ancha que el mar.
10 Si Él pasa, o encierra,
o convoca una asamblea, ¿quién podrá estorbarle(J)?
11 Porque Él conoce a los hombres falsos(K),
y ve la iniquidad sin investigar[f](L).
12 Y el hombre tonto[g](M) se hará inteligente
cuando el pollino[h] de un asno montés(N) nazca hombre.
13 (O)Si diriges bien tu corazón(P)
y extiendes a Él tu mano[i](Q),
14 si en tu mano hay iniquidad y la alejas de ti
y no permites que la maldad more en tus tiendas(R),
15 entonces, ciertamente levantarás tu rostro(S) sin mancha,
estarás firme y no temerás(T).
16 Porque olvidarás(U) tu aflicción,
como aguas(V) que han pasado la recordarás.
17 Tu vida[j] será más radiante que[k] el mediodía,
y hasta la oscuridad será como la mañana(W).
18 Entonces confiarás, porque hay esperanza,
mirarás alrededor y te acostarás seguro.
19 Descansarás y nadie te atemorizará(X),
y muchos procurarán tu favor[l](Y).
20 Pero los ojos de los malvados languidecerán(Z),
y no habrá escape[m] para ellos(AA);
su esperanza(AB) es dar su último suspiro[n](AC).

11 Bấy giờ Xô-pha, người Na-a-mát lên tiếng:
2 “Những lời anh nói chẳng lẽ không ai đối đáp sao?
Người lắm điều nầy có lý chăng?
3 Lời nói dối của anh khiến người ta không im lặng nổi;
họ phải chỉnh anh khi anh chế giễu Thượng Đế.
4 Anh nói, ‘Lời giáo huấn của tôi là đúng,
tôi tinh sạch trước mặt Thượng Đế.’
5 Tôi ước gì Thượng Đế lên tiếng,
và mở miệng nghịch anh;
6 cho anh biết những bí mật của sự khôn ngoan,
vì khôn ngoan có hai mặt.
Hãy biết rõ điều nầy: Thượng Đế đã bỏ qua một số tội lỗi của anh.
7 Anh có biết bí mật của Thượng Đế không?
Anh có thể nào tìm được giới hạn của Đấng Toàn Năng không?
8 Giới hạn của Ngài cao hơn trời; anh với không tới!
Sâu hơn mồ mả; anh không thể hiểu nổi!
9 Giới hạn Ngài dài hơn trái đất,
và rộng hơn đại dương.
10 Nếu Thượng Đế đến bắt nhốt anh vào tù,
hay gọi anh ra trước tòa,
thì không ai có thể cản Ngài được.
11 Thượng Đế biết ai gian ác,
và khi Ngài thấy điều ác, thì Ngài để ý.
12 Kẻ ngu không thể tự nhiên hóa khôn,
cũng như lừa hoang không thể tự thuần hóa.
13 Anh phải dâng hết tấm lòng cho Ngài,
và giơ tay ra xin Ngài giúp đỡ.
14 Hãy gỡ tội lỗi ra khỏi tay anh đi;
đừng để điều ác nào còn lảng vảng trong lều anh.
15 Bấy giờ anh có thể ngước mặt lên mà không xấu hổ,
và anh có thể đứng hiên ngang mà không sợ hãi.
16 Anh sẽ quên nỗi khốn khổ của mình,
và chỉ còn nhớ nó như nước chảy qua cầu.
17 Đời anh sẽ sáng rỡ như ánh mặt trời giữa trưa,
và bóng tối sẽ như sớm mai.
18 Anh sẽ cảm thấy an toàn vì có hi vọng;
anh sẽ nhìn quanh và bình yên an nghỉ.
19 Anh sẽ nằm xuống không sợ hãi ai.
Nhiều người sẽ cầu ơn của anh.
20 Nhưng kẻ ác không thể thấy,
cho nên chúng không thoát được.

Zophar Urges Job to Repent
11 Then Zophar the Naamathite answered and said:
2 “Should not the multitude of words be answered?
And should [a]a man full of talk be vindicated?
3 Should your empty talk make men [b]hold their peace?
And when you mock, should no one rebuke you?
4 For you have said,
(A)‘My doctrine is pure,
And I am clean in your eyes.’
5 But oh, that God would speak,
And open His lips against you,
6 That He would show you the secrets of wisdom!
For they would double your prudence.
Know therefore that (B)God [c]exacts from you
Less than your iniquity deserves.
7 “Can(C) you search out the deep things of God?
Can you find out the limits of the Almighty?
8 They are higher than heaven—what can you do?
Deeper than [d]Sheol—what can you know?
9 Their measure is longer than the earth
And broader than the sea.
10 “If(D) He passes by, imprisons, and gathers to judgment,
Then who can [e]hinder Him?
11 For (E)He knows deceitful men;
He sees wickedness also.
Will He not then consider it?
12 For an (F)empty-headed man will be wise,
When a wild donkey’s colt is born a man.
13 “If you would (G)prepare your heart,
And (H)stretch out your hands toward Him;
14 If iniquity were in your hand, and you put it far away,
And (I)would not let wickedness dwell in your tents;
15 (J)Then surely you could lift up your face without spot;
Yes, you could be steadfast, and not fear;
16 Because you would (K)forget your misery,
And remember it as waters that have passed away,
17 And your life (L)would be brighter than noonday.
Though you were dark, you would be like the morning.
18 And you would be secure, because there is hope;
Yes, you would dig around you, and (M)take your rest in safety.
19 You would also lie down, and no one would make you afraid;
Yes, many would court your favor.
20 But (N)the eyes of the wicked will fail,
And they shall not escape,

2 「難道滔滔不絕就無人反駁？

你嘲笑譏諷，豈不該有人使你羞愧？
4 你自以為信仰純全，
在上帝眼中清白。
5 唯願上帝發言，
開口駁斥你，
6 告訴你智慧的奧秘，
因為真智慧深奧難懂。
要知道，上帝對你的懲罰比你該受的還輕。
7 「你能測度上帝的深奧，
探索全能者的極限嗎？
8 那可比諸天還高，你能做什麼？
那可比陰間還深，你能知道什麼？
9 那可比大地還寬廣，
比海洋還遼闊。
10 祂若來囚禁你，
開庭審判，
誰能阻攔？
11 祂洞悉詭詐之人，
