Job 10:18-22
Legacy Standard Bible
18 ‘(A)Why then have You brought me out of the womb?
Would that I had breathed my last and no eye had seen me!
19 I should have been as though I had not been,
Carried from womb to tomb.’
20 Would He not cease (B)for a few of my days?
[a](C)Withdraw from me that I may have a little cheer
21 Before I go—(D)and I shall not return—
(E)To the land of darkness and (F)shadow of death,
22 The land of utter gloom as the thick darkness itself,
Of the shadow of death, without order,
And which shines as the thick darkness.”

Job 10:18-22
Revised Standard Version
18 “Why didst thou bring me forth from the womb?
Would that I had died before any eye had seen me,
19 and were as though I had not been,
carried from the womb to the grave.
20 Are not the days of my life few?[a]
Let me alone, that I may find a little comfort[b]
21 before I go whence I shall not return,
to the land of gloom and deep darkness,
22 the land of gloom[c] and chaos,
where light is as darkness.”
