²⁴ The earth is given into the hand of the wicked;
    he covers the eyes of its judges—
    if it is not he, who then is it?^(A)

⁹ Their houses are safe from fear,
    and no rod of God is upon them.^(A)

¹⁸ Yet he filled their houses with good things—
    but the plans of the wicked are repugnant to me.^(A)
