²⁸Arrows cannot make it flee.
Stones shot from a sling are like bits of grass.

²⁸Arrows do not make it flee;^(A)
slingstones are like chaff to it.

¹⁰They scoff at kings and princes
and scorn all their fortresses.
They simply pile ramps of earth
against their walls and capture them!

¹⁰They mock kings
and scoff at rulers.^(A)
They laugh at all fortified cities;
by building earthen ramps^(B) they capture them.

⁷It hates the noise of the city
and has no driver to shout at it.
