Job 36:5-12

New American Standard Bible

⁵ Behold, God is mighty but does not ^(A)reject anyone;
He is ^(B)mighty in strength of understanding.
⁶ He does not ^(C)keep the wicked alive,
But gives justice to ^(D)the afflicted.
⁷ He does not ^(E)withdraw His eyes from the righteous,
But ^(F)with kings on the throne
He has seated them forever, and they are exalted.
⁸ And if they are bound in shackles,
And are caught in the snares of ^(G)misery,
⁹ Then He declares to them their work
And their wrongdoings, that they have ^(H)been arrogant.
^10 (I)He opens their ears to instruction,
And ^(J)commands that they return from injustice.
¹¹ If they listen and serve Him,
They will ^(K)end their days in prosperity,
And their years in ^(L)happiness.
¹² But if they do not listen, they will ^[a]perish ^(M)by the sword,
And ^(N)die without knowledge.
