²⁶ when he made a decree for the rain^(A)
    and a path for the thunderstorm,^(B)

he who appoints^(A) the sun
    to shine by day,
who decrees the moon and stars
    to shine by night,^(B)
who stirs up the sea^(C)
    so that its waves roar^(D)—
    the Lord Almighty is his name:^(E)
36 “Only if these decrees^(F) vanish from my sight,”
    declares the Lord,
“will Israel^(G) ever cease
    being a nation before me.”
