    when distress comes upon them?^(A)

¹² He does not answer^(A) when people cry out
    because of the arrogance^(B) of the wicked.^(C)

⁴¹ They cried for help, but there was no one to save them^(A)—
    to the Lord, but he did not answer.^(B)

²⁸ “Then they will call to me but I will not answer;^(A)
    they will look for me but will not find me,^(B)

²⁹ The Lord is far from the wicked,
    but he hears the prayer of the righteous.^(A)
