He ^(B)kills the poor and the needy,
And at night he is as a thief.

⁹ He lurks in a hiding place as ^(A)a lion in his ^[a]lair;
He ^(B)lurks to catch ^(C)the afflicted;
He catches the afflicted when he draws him into his ^(D)net.

¹⁴ There is a ^[a]kind of man whose ^(A)teeth are like swords
And his ^(B)jaw teeth like knives,
To ^(C)devour the afflicted from the earth
And the needy from among men.
