²² But He drags off the mighty by ^(A)His power;
He rises, but ^(B)no one believes in his life.

²⁴ He breaks in pieces ^(A)mighty men without searching anything out,
And sets others in their place.
²⁵ Therefore He ^(B)recognizes their labors,
And ^(C)He overthrows them in the night,
And they are crushed.
²⁶ He ^(D)strikes them like the wicked
^[a]In a public place,
²⁷ Because they ^(E)turned aside from following Him,
And ^(F)had no insight from any of His ways;
²⁸ So that they caused ^(G)the cry of the poor to come to Him,
And that He might ^(H)hear the cry of the afflicted.

⁹ “Because of ^(A)many oppressions they cry out;
They cry for help because of the arm ^(B)of many oppressors.
