Job 22:4-11

⁴ “Is it because of your ^[a]reverence that He reproves you,
That He ^(A)enters into judgment against you?
⁵ “Is not ^(B)your wickedness great,
And your iniquities without end?
⁶ “For you have ^(C)taken pledges of your brothers without cause,
And ^(D)stripped ^[b]men naked.
⁷ “To the weary you have ^(E)given no water to drink,
And from the hungry you have ^(F)withheld bread.
⁸ “But the earth ^(G)belongs to the ^(H)mighty man,
And ^(I)the honorable man dwells in it.
⁹ “You have sent ^(J)widows away empty,
And the ^[c]strength of the ^(K)orphans has been crushed.
¹⁰ “Therefore ^(L)snares surround you,
And sudden ^(M)dread terrifies you,
¹¹ Or ^(N)darkness, so that you cannot see,
And an ^(O)abundance of water covers you.
