²⁰ Let his ^(A)own eyes see his decay,
And let him ^(B)drink of the wrath of ^[a]the Almighty.

⁸ For a ^(A)cup is in the hand of Yahweh, and the wine foams;
It is ^(B)full of His mixture, and He pours from this;
Surely all the wicked of the earth must drain and ^(C)drink down its dregs.

²² Thus says your Lord, Yahweh, even your God
Who ^(A)contends for His people,
“Behold, I have taken out of your hand the ^(B)cup of reeling,
The ^[a]chalice of My wrath;
You will never drink it again.

⁷ Babylon has been a golden ^(A)cup in the hand of Yahweh,
Intoxicating all the earth.
The ^(B)nations have drunk of her wine;
Therefore the nations are ^(C)going mad.
