6 Adonai said to the Adversary, “Here! He is in your hands, except that you are to spare his life.”
7 Then the Adversary went out from the presence of Adonai and struck Iyov down with horrible infected sores from the sole of his foot to the crown of his head. 8 He took a piece of a broken pot to scratch himself and sat down in the pile of ashes.

New International Version
6 The Lord said to Satan, “Very well, then, he is in your hands;(A) but you must spare his life.”(B)
7 So Satan went out from the presence of the Lord and afflicted Job with painful sores from the soles of his feet to the crown of his head.(C) 8 Then Job took a piece of broken pottery and scraped himself with it as he sat among the ashes.(D)
