10 “I hate my life. I will be free in my complaining. I will show how bitter I am in my soul when I speak. 2 I will say to God, ‘Do not say that I am guilty and punish me. Let me know why You work against me. 3 Do You think it is right for You to make it hard for me, to turn away from the work of Your hands and favor the plans of the sinful?

10 “I loathe my very life;(A)
therefore I will give free rein to my complaint
and speak out in the bitterness of my soul.(B)
2 I say to God:(C) Do not declare me guilty,
but tell me what charges(D) you have against me.(E)
3 Does it please you to oppress me,(F)
to spurn the work of your hands,(G)
while you smile on the plans of the wicked?(H)
