All Job Has Is in Satan’s Hand

(A)Now it was the day that the (B)sons of God came to stand before [a]Yahweh, and [b]Satan also came among them. And Yahweh said to Satan, “From where do you come?” Then Satan answered Yahweh and said, “(C)From roaming about on the earth and walking around on it.” Then Yahweh said to Satan, “Have you set your heart upon (D)My servant Job? For there is no one like him on the earth, (E)a blameless and upright man, [c]fearing God and turning away from evil.” And (F)Satan answered Yahweh and said, “Does Job [d]fear God without cause? 10 (G)Have You not made a hedge about him and his house and all that he has, on every side? (H)You have blessed the work of his hands, and his (I)possessions have increased in the land. 11 (J)But send forth Your hand now and (K)touch all that he has; he will surely curse You to Your face.” 12 Then Yahweh said to Satan, “Behold, all that he has is in your hand, only do not send forth your hand toward him.” So Satan went out from the presence of Yahweh.

Satan answered the Lord, “From roaming throughout the earth, going back and forth on it.”(D)

Then the Lord said to Satan, “Have you considered my servant Job?(E) There is no one on earth like him; he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God(F) and shuns evil.”(G)

“Does Job fear God for nothing?”(H) Satan replied. 10 “Have you not put a hedge(I) around him and his household and everything he has?(J) You have blessed the work of his hands, so that his flocks and herds are spread throughout the land.(K) 11 But now stretch out your hand and strike everything he has,(L) and he will surely curse you to your face.”(M)

12 The Lord said to Satan, “Very well, then, everything he has(N) is in your power, but on the man himself do not lay a finger.”(O)

Then Satan went out from the presence of the Lord.
