10 Have you[a] not put a fence around him and his household and around all that belongs to him[b] on every side?[c] You have blessed the work of his hands, and his livestock[d] has increased in the land. 11 But,[e] on the other hand, stretch out[f] your hand and touch all that belongs to him[g] and see whether[h] he will curse[i] you to your face.”

12 So[j] Yahweh said to Satan,[k] “Look, all that belongs to him[l] is in your power.[m] Only do not stretch out your hand against[n] him.” So[o] Satan[p] went out from Yahweh’s presence.[q]
