²⁹ and come out, ^(A)those who have done good to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil to the resurrection of judgment.

¹¹ For no one can lay a ^(A)foundation other ^(B)than that which is laid, ^(C)which is Jesus Christ. ¹² Now if anyone builds on the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw— ^13 (D)each one's work will become manifest, for the Day will disclose it, because it will be revealed ^(E)by fire, and ^(F)the fire will test what sort of work each one has done. ¹⁴ If the work that anyone has built on the foundation survives, ^(G)he will receive a reward. ¹⁵ If anyone's work is burned up, he will suffer loss, though he himself will be saved, ^(H)but only as through fire.

⁵¹ Behold! I tell you a mystery. ^(A)We shall not all sleep, ^(B)but we shall all be changed, ⁵² in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For ^(C)the trumpet will sound, and ^(D)the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed. ⁵³ For this perishable body must put on the imperishable, and ^(E)this mortal body must put on immortality. ⁵⁴ When the perishable puts on the imperishable, and the mortal puts on immortality, then shall come to pass the saying that is written:

⁵⁶ The sting of death is sin, and ^(H)the power of sin is the law. ⁵⁷ But thanks be to God, ^(I)who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

^58 (J)Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in ^(K)the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord ^(L)your labor is not in vain.

⁶ So we are always of good courage. We know that ^(A)while we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord, ⁷ for ^(B)we walk by faith, not ^(C)by sight. ⁸ Yes, we are of good courage, and we ^(D)would rather be away from the body and at home with the Lord. ⁹ So whether we are at home or away, we make it our aim to ^(E)please him. ¹⁰ For ^(F)we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, ^(G)so that each one may receive what is due for what he has done in the body, whether good or evil.
