Bara Herren kan rädda sitt folk
43 Men nu säger Herren,
han som har skapat dig, Jakob,
han som har format dig, Israel:
”Var inte rädd,
för jag har befriat dig.
Jag har kallat dig vid namn,
och du är min.
2 När du måste gå genom vatten
är jag med dig,
eller genom floder,
ska de inte dränka dig.
När du måste gå genom eld,
ska du inte bli bränd.
Lågorna ska inte skada dig.

43 Men nu, så säger Herren, han som har skapat dig, Jakob,
han som har danat dig, Israel:
Frukta inte, ty jag har återlöst dig,
jag har kallat dig vid namn, du är min.
2 Om du än måste gå genom vatten,
är jag med dig,
eller genom strömmar,
så skall de inte dränka dig.
Om du än måste gå genom eld,
skall du inte bli svedd,
lågan skall inte bränna dig.

“Do not fear, for I have redeemed(D) you;
I have summoned you by name;(E) you are mine.(F)
2 When you pass through the waters,(G)
I will be with you;(H)
and when you pass through the rivers,
they will not sweep over you.
When you walk through the fire,(I)
you will not be burned;
the flames will not set you ablaze.(J)
