Israel, Herrens vingård
27 På den dagen skall Herren med sitt hårda, stora och starka svärd,
straffa Leviatan, den snabba ormen,
och Leviatan, den ringlande ormen, och han skall döda
draken[a] i havet.
2 Sjung på den dagen om den underbara vingården:
3 Jag, Herren, sköter om den,
ständigt vattnar jag den.
Både dag och natt vaktar jag den,
så att ingen skall skada den.
4 Jag hyser ingen vrede.
Hade jag törne och tistel att strida emot,
skulle jag gå lös på dem och bränna upp alltsammans,
5 såvida man inte sökte skydd hos mig
för att sluta fred med mig.
Ja, fred må man sluta med mig.
6 I kommande dagar skall Jakob slå rot,
Israel grönska och blomstra.
De skall fylla hela världen med frukt.
7 Har han slagit Israel,
så som han slog dem som slog hans folk?
Eller dräpte han Israel,
så som dess dråpare blev dräpta?
8 Nej, väl tillrättavisade han folket
när han förkastade och försköt det,
väl ryckte han bort det
med sin hårda vind på östanstormens dag.
9 Men därför blir också Jakobs missgärning försonad,
och detta blir följden av att deras synder tas bort:
Han gör alla altarets stenar lika kalkstenar
som smulas sönder.
Aseror och solstoder skall inte mer resas.
10 Den befästa staden är öde,
en folktom plats,
övergiven som en öken.
Kalvar betar där och lägger sig där,
de biter av dess kvistar.
11 När grenarna är torra bryter man av dem,
och kvinnor kommer och gör upp eld med dem.
Ty detta är ett folk utan förstånd.
Därför visar deras skapare dem inget förbarmande
och deras danare dem ingen barmhärtighet.
12 Det skall ske på den dagen att Herren inbärgar frukten
från den strida floden till Egyptens bäck,
och ni skall samlas in en och en, ni Israels barn.
13 Och det skall ske på den dagen
att man skall blåsa i ett stort horn,
och de som har varit försvunna i Assyriens land
och fördrivna till Egyptens land
skall då komma och tillbe Herren
på det heliga berget i Jerusalem.

27 En aquel día Jehová castigará con su espada dura, grande y fuerte al leviatán serpiente veloz, y al leviatán serpiente tortuosa; y matará al dragón que está en el mar.
2 En aquel día cantad acerca de la viña del vino rojo.
3 Yo Jehová la guardo, cada momento la regaré; la guardaré de noche y de día, para que nadie la dañe.
4 No hay enojo en mí. ¿Quién pondrá contra mí en batalla espinos y zarzas? Yo los hollaré, los quemaré a una,
5 a menos que se acojan a mi amparo. Haga conmigo paz; sí, haga paz conmigo.
6 Días vendrán cuando Jacob echará raíces, y florecerá y echará renuevos Israel, y la faz del mundo se llenará de frutos.
7 ¿Acaso le ha herido como él hirió a quien le hería, o ha sido muerto como fueron muertos los que lo mataron?
8 Con medida la castigas cuando la envías lejos. Él la arroja con su recio viento en el día del aire solano.
9 De esta manera, pues, será expiada la iniquidad de Jacob, y éste será el medio eficaz para apartar su pecado; cuando haga todas las piedras del altar como piedras de cal desmenuzadas, de modo que ya no se levanten más los símbolos de Aserá ni las imágenes del sol.
10 Porque la ciudad fortificada está desolada; es una mansión abandonada y dejada como un desierto; allí pastará el becerro, allí tendrá su majada, y consumirá sus ramas.
11 Cuando sus ramas se sequen, serán quebradas; vendrán mujeres a encenderlas; porque aquél no es pueblo de entendimiento; por tanto, su Hacedor no tendrá de él compasión, ni le mostrará su favor el que lo formó.
12 Acontecerá en aquel día, que trillará Jehová desde el río Eufrates hasta el torrente de Egipto, y vosotros, hijos de Israel, seréis reunidos uno a uno.
13 Acontecerá también en aquel día, que se tocará con gran trompeta, y vendrán los que habían sido esparcidos en la tierra de Asiria, y los que habían sido desterrados a Egipto, y adorarán a Jehová en el monte santo, en Jerusalén.

27 In that day the Lord with his sore and great and strong sword shall punish leviathan the piercing serpent, even leviathan that crooked serpent; and he shall slay the dragon that is in the sea.
2 In that day sing ye unto her, A vineyard of red wine.
3 I the Lord do keep it; I will water it every moment: lest any hurt it, I will keep it night and day.
4 Fury is not in me: who would set the briers and thorns against me in battle? I would go through them, I would burn them together.
5 Or let him take hold of my strength, that he may make peace with me; and he shall make peace with me.
6 He shall cause them that come of Jacob to take root: Israel shall blossom and bud, and fill the face of the world with fruit.
7 Hath he smitten him, as he smote those that smote him? or is he slain according to the slaughter of them that are slain by him?
8 In measure, when it shooteth forth, thou wilt debate with it: he stayeth his rough wind in the day of the east wind.
9 By this therefore shall the iniquity of Jacob be purged; and this is all the fruit to take away his sin; when he maketh all the stones of the altar as chalkstones that are beaten in sunder, the groves and images shall not stand up.
10 Yet the defenced city shall be desolate, and the habitation forsaken, and left like a wilderness: there shall the calf feed, and there shall he lie down, and consume the branches thereof.
11 When the boughs thereof are withered, they shall be broken off: the women come, and set them on fire: for it is a people of no understanding: therefore he that made them will not have mercy on them, and he that formed them will shew them no favour.
12 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall beat off from the channel of the river unto the stream of Egypt, and ye shall be gathered one by one, O ye children of Israel.
13 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the great trumpet shall be blown, and they shall come which were ready to perish in the land of Assyria, and the outcasts in the land of Egypt, and shall worship the Lord in the holy mount at Jerusalem.
