31 Madmena flyr,
    Gibeons invånare söker skydd.
32 Samma dag gör han halt i Nob.
    Han svingar sin hand
        mot dottern Sions berg,
            mot Jerusalems höjd.
33 (A) Se, Herren Gud Sebaot
    ska hugga av den lummiga kronan
        med våldsam kraft.
    De resliga stammarna ska fällas,
        de höga träden störta ner.

31 Madmenah is in flight;
    the inhabitants of Gebim flee for safety.
32 This very day he will halt at (A)Nob;
    he will shake his fist
    at the mount of (B)the daughter of Zion,
    the hill of Jerusalem.
33 Behold, the Lord God of hosts
    (C)will lop (D)the boughs with terrifying power;
the great in height will be hewn down,
    and the lofty will be brought low.

Los habitantes de Gebim han buscado refugio.
32 Hoy mismo él se detendrá en Nob(A),
agitará su mano(B) contra el monte de la hija[a] de Sión(C), la colina de Jerusalén.
33 He aquí, el Señor, Dios de los ejércitos,
desgajará el ramaje con terrible crujido;
los árboles de gran altura serán cortados(D),
los elevados serán abatidos.
