Jeremiah 7:27-29

27 So you shall speak all these words to them, but they will not listen to you. You shall call to them, but they will not answer you.(A) 28 You shall say to them: This is the nation that did not obey the voice of the Lord their God and did not accept discipline; truth has perished; it is cut off from their lips.(B)
29 Cut off your hair and throw it away;
raise a lamentation on the bare heights,[a]
for the Lord has rejected and forsaken
the generation that provoked his wrath.(C)

Shout out your warnings, but do not expect them to respond. 28 Say to them, ‘This is the nation whose people will not obey the Lord their God and who refuse to be taught. Truth has vanished from among them; it is no longer heard on their lips. 29 Shave your head in mourning, and weep alone on the mountains. For the Lord has rejected and forsaken this generation that has provoked his fury.’
