27 “I have (A)made you a tester of metals and [a]an assayer among My people,
That you may know and test their way.”
28 All of them are rebelliously stubborn,
(B)Going about as a slanderer.
They are (C)bronze and iron;
They, all of them, are corrupt.
29 The bellows blow fiercely;
The lead [b]is consumed by the fire;
In vain the refining goes on,
But the (D)evil ones are not [c]separated.
30 (E)They call them rejected silver
Because (F)Yahweh has rejected them.

People Rejected by the Lord

The assayer[c] keeps on refining,
    but the impurities[d] aren’t separated out.
30 They’re called reject silver,
    because the Lord has rejected them.
