^13 (A)“For from the least to the greatest of them,
    everyone ^(B)is greedy for unjust gain;
and from ^(C)prophet to priest,
    everyone deals falsely.

^11 (A)“Both prophet and priest are ungodly;
    even ^(B)in my house I have found their evil,
declares the Lord.

^10 (A)Therefore I will give their wives to others
    and their fields to conquerors,
because from the least to the greatest
    everyone ^(B)is greedy for unjust gain;
from prophet to priest,
    everyone deals falsely.

^11 (A)Its heads give judgment for a bribe;
    ^(B)its priests teach for a price;
    ^(C)its prophets practice divination for money;
^(D)yet they lean on the Lord and ^(E)say,
    “Is not the Lord in the midst of us?
    ^(F)No disaster shall come upon us.”

²     you ^(A)who hate the good and love the evil,
^(B)who tear the skin from off my people^[a]
    and their flesh from off their bones,
^3 (C)who eat the flesh of my people,
    and flay their skin from off them,
and break their bones in pieces
    and chop them up like meat in a pot,
    like flesh in a cauldron.

¹⁷ But you have eyes and heart
    only for your dishonest gain,
^(A)for shedding innocent blood,
    and for practicing oppression and violence.”
