Jeremiah 51:27-33

27 (A)Lift up a standard in the land,
Blow a trumpet among the nations!
Set apart the nations against her;
Summon against her the (B)kingdoms of (C)Ararat, Minni, and (D)Ashkenaz;
Appoint a marshal against her;
Bring up the (E)horses like bristly locusts.
28 Set apart the nations against her,
The kings of the Medes,
[a]Their governors and all [b]their [c]prefects
And every land of [d]their rule.
29 So the (F)land quakes and writhes,
For the purposes of Yahweh against Babylon stand,
To make the land of Babylon
[e]A (G)desolation without inhabitants.
30 The (H)mighty men of Babylon have ceased fighting;
They inhabit the strongholds;
(I)Their might is dried up;
They are becoming (J)like women;
Their dwelling places are set on fire;
The (K)bars of her gates are broken.
31 One (L)runner runs to meet [f]another,
And one (M)messenger to meet [g]another,
To give a message to the king of Babylon
That his city has been captured from end to end;
32 The fords also have been seized,
And they have burned the marshes with fire,
And the men of war are terrified.
33 For thus says Yahweh of hosts, the God of Israel:
“The daughter of Babylon is like a (N)threshing floor
At the time [h]it is stamped firm;
Yet in a little while the time of (O)harvest will come for her.”

The kings of the Medes,
[b]Their governors and all [c]their [d]prefects,

For the purposes of the Lord against Babylon stand,
To make the land of Babylon
